Make-Ups & Cancellations

We want every swimmer to get the most out of their lessons. Coming each week is the best way to build skills and keep them, so these policies are designed to protect your spot and keep classes running smoothly for everyone.

CANCELING A LESSON

- Please give at least 12 hours' notice by texting 216-645-9431.
- No-call/no-show lessons are forfeited and charged in full.
- If we cancel because of a pool closure, bad weather, or an emergency on our end, your lesson will be rescheduled or credited to your account.


MAKE-UPS FOR PRIVATE LESSONS

Private lesson packages include make-ups when you cancel with at least 12 hours' notice:

- 4-Lesson Package: 1 make-up, expires 5 weeks after first lesson
- 10-Lesson Package: 2 make-ups, expires 12 weeks after first lesson
- 20-Lesson Package: 4 make-ups, expires 24 weeks after first lesson

- Make-ups are scheduled through our aquatics directors, and a specific day, time, or instructor can't be guaranteed.
- Make-ups replace a missed lesson. They aren't extra lessons.
- Single drop-in private lessons don't include make-ups.
- You're welcome to transfer a private package to another family. (Ohio Rise families can't transfer, pause, or extend packages.)


MAKE-UPS FOR GROUP LESSONS

- Group lessons don't include make-ups. Because each class is kept small, we can't add extra swimmers to other sessions.
- Missed lessons can't be credited toward next month's tuition.
- If you know your swimmer will miss several weeks, you can pause your lessons instead (see below).


PLANNING A LONG ABSENCE?

Going on vacation or recovering from an illness? Let us know ahead of time and we can pause your lessons. Your remaining balance stays on your account for 6 months (8 months if the pause includes winter break).

When you return, we'll do our best to get you back in your old spot, but popular times and instructors fill quickly, so we can't guarantee the same schedule.


CHANGES & FEES

- Changing your regular day or time: $15 fee (all lesson types).
- Please pay your balance in full before lessons begin.


REFUNDS

When you book, we hold that spot just for your swimmer and turn other families away. Because of this, all sales are final and we don't offer refunds for any reason. If life changes, pausing or transferring your package are great options.


AT THE POOL

- Please arrive on time so your swimmer gets their full lesson.
- A parent or guardian must stay in the facility for all lessons with minors.
- We aren't responsible for lost or damaged personal items.
- To keep everyone safe, excessive lateness, threats or violence toward staff, or not following pool rules will lead to removal from the program and loss of remaining lessons.
